I'm a professional copyeditor with 20+ years of experience writing and editing for academia, the federal government, industry, fiction and nonfiction writers, and nonprofit organizations. I’ve braved the treacherous terrain that is the 7th-grade English classroom, pulled all-nighters writing winning proposals for a top management consulting firm, navigated the corridors of the Pentagon in support of publications for the Secretary of the Air Force, and managed curriculum development projects as a federal employee at a government university.
I launched my freelance practice in 2013 and have had the privilege of working with students, writers, nonprofits, small businesses, and federal clients to hone their writing and put the final shine on their most visible and important products.
I'm a die-hard grammar nerd with a passion for great writing and an eye for detail. I hold a bachelor's degree in English from Vanderbilt University and a master's degree in English and American Literature from Georgetown University. My passions include Roald Dahl, Southern literature, and treasure hunting at antique markets in rural Virginia. I’m a lifelong proponent of the Oxford comma.
